How to DIY a Christmas Themed Desktop Board?

The holiday season is a great time to get creative and try out some new DIY projects. If you're looking for a festive way to decorate your desk, why not try making a Christmas-themed desktop board? Hang your finished board on the wall or prop it up on your desk for a cheerful way to spread holiday cheer. Whether you're looking for a fun activity to do with the kids or a unique way to dress up your work space, consider making a DIY Christmas-themed desktop board. It's sure to bring a smile to everyone who sees it. In this blog, I am going to show you how to use OFFNOVA adhesive vinyl to decorate the desktop board.

Step-by-step Guide

Time: 20 min
Step 1
Download a design from the online svg/design platform (or you can design one by yourself). I used some rectangles and simple patterns to form this frame design at Canva.com.
Step 2
Upload all design to Cricut Design Space (we have the Christmas frame, the snow and ‘Merry Christmas’ text in this DIY). Note: you don’t need to mirror the image.
Step 3
Continue to let the machine cut the design out. Recommended settings for Cricut Maker3: cut pressure: 200/muti-cut: off/blade: fine-point. Note: the adhesive vinyl should be placed with carrier sheet side facing up. (That’s why we don’t need to mirror the design).
Step 4
Weed out the excess part of the vinyl.
Step 5
Cut out a transfer tape sheet the same size (or a little bit bigger) as the Christmas frame (the same for the snow and ‘Merry Christmas’ text).
Step 6
Transfer the vinyl on the transfer tape sheet.
Step 7
Transfer the vinyl on the blank desktop board. When I designed the frame, I adjusted it a little bigger than the desktop board frame so that I can make sure the edge can be fully covered by the vinyl.
Step 8
Finish!
